This series of photographic works features images of spaces, places and people illuminated in low light and at night. I am interested in how the camera collects light and what is hidden and revealed. For me in these photographic moments ‘another nature speaks to the camera rather than the eye: ‘other’ above all in the sense that a space informed by human consciousness gives way to space informed by the unconscious.’ Walter Benjamin ‘A little history of photography’ 1931.
